Sylvia Park is Auckland's newest retail destination, bringing a new dynamic to the city's southeast. Once complete, the development will be the largest retail and entertainment centre in the country and will include an office development. It will have a range of services and entertainment on offer, and be a social and employment hub for the local community. WalkerSEP has been involved from initial to finishing stages of construction, providing ongoing survey control and setout as part of the intensive construction programme to help Multiplex Construction achieve a first class build.
Britomart is the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken by a local authority in New Zealand, at a total cost of $204 million. Britomart is a transport, heritage and urban renewal project, located on 5.2 hectares of reclaimed land in Auckland's central business district.
WalkerSEP provided survey services to Walter Construction during the tunnelling works phases of this project and an involvement with the ongoing development of the rail corridor down town area including the refurbishment of the old post office and ferry buildings, The Docks, Scene, Eastside, Landings and East Britomart Precinct Apartment buildings for Multiplex , Dominion, Hawkins, Aspec and Mainzeal construction, from 2000-2008.

Spinnaker Bay is a prestigious development in the settlement of Beachlands, Manukau City. The development comprises over 360 lots on 62.8 Ha. Walker SEP are the lead engineering and surveying consultants on this project. Special emphasis has been given to a marine theme with special lighting, landscaping and entrance features that enhance property values for this special site.
Pond D1A for Manukau City Council - Manukau City Council engaged Walker SEP to complete the engineering design, construction monitoring and contract administration for a new stormwater quality and detention pond on Barry Curtis Park. Work included hydraulic modeling, earthworks modeling and structures to ensure that the pond integrated with the Barry Curtis Park environment. The pond services a catchment of 35Ha within the Flat Bush development area.
Pine Harbour Marina - The marina precinct has a master plan to cover developments over the next 20 years for the site. Numerous projects have and will be occurring on the property over the next 10 to 15 years. Walker SEP have been involved with the Marina for many years and are the lead civil engineers and surveyors. Projects occurring at present are the rearrangement of the entrance to the marina, 5 new buildings, extension of a roading link to Beachlands and a new subdivision on the hillside above the marina.
Cheriton Grove is a large development amongst an existing residential area in the affluent suburb of Mellons Bay, Howick. Walker SEP is the consultant in charge of all planning, engineering and surveying. Planning work has included consultation with neighbouring property owners, local and regional authorities. Planning reports, assessment of environmental effects and resource consent applications were all completed for this development.
Lonely Track Road Development As lead consultant for this project Walker SEP were responsible for the applications for Subdivision, land use, earthworks and stormwater discharge consent applications to North Shore City Council and Auckland Regional Council. Consultation with neighbouring property owners over an extension to Rising Parade, widening of Lonely Track Rd and stormwater detention and quality works were all integral parts of the planning process for this complex development.
Cooks Beach Resort - Walker SEP was part of the planning team associated with the comprehensive development at Cooks Beach on the Coromandel project. Resource Consents were lodged for the subdivision, earthworks, water takes, stream diversions and filling of floodplains. The consents were notified by Thames Coromandel District Council and Environment Waikato. Expert evidence was prepared and presented at consent hearings that lasted several weeks in Whitianga. Consent has now been issued and the project works are due to commence late 2008.
